Stonetop Does the Impossible

Stonetop has accomplished something no other TTRPG has managed.

My wife is not a gamer. At all. She doesn't play TTRPGs, doesn't have any interest in TTRPGs, and has never understood why I'd want artwork from a TTRPG hanging anywhere in the house.

Over the years, I've collected plenty of game-related art. We have an understanding about where it goes: in my office. I can hang whatever I want in there. The rest of the house is another matter.

Then I bought a couple of signed prints from Stonetop artist Lucie Arnoux.

My wife loves them. She actually likes them enough that she was perfectly happy having them framed and hung in our living room.

I don't think I can adequately explain how unprecedented this is.

Somehow, these pieces crossed the invisible barrier that has successfully contained decades of TTRPG artwork to my office. I'm not going to question it. They're already on the wall.

So congratulations to Lucie Arnoux and Stonetop. You've done something I previously thought impossible.

Game art has made it into the living room.
