The idea came from Sam on the Stonetop Discord, who shared photos of a screen he had built along with the source file for his panoramic illustration. It was too good an idea not to borrow, and my first two versions were built using his artwork.
Since then, I've rebuilt the screen a couple of times, changing the construction as I learned what worked and what didn't. The version featured in this article is the third iteration and the one I've finally settled on.
For this latest version, I also changed the player-facing artwork. Instead of using Sam's panoramic illustration, I'm rebuilding the screen using Lucie Arnoux's official artwork from Stonetop.
The player side is entirely artwork, while the GM side is filled with quick-reference sheets I use during play. I also replaced the original construction with magnetic sheets inside each panel, making the screen sturdier, easier to assemble, and simpler to update over time.
Below I'll walk through the materials I used, what each version taught me, what it cost to build, and how I put everything together.
Versions 1–2 used panoramic artwork created by Sam and shared with the Stonetop community. Version 3 uses official Stonetop artwork by Lucie Arnoux. This article documents a personal, non-commercial project and does not include printable artwork or source files.
